Participatation (Schemes)


BANG Radio Internship

We are proud to announce that we are offering new and aspiring presenters & producers internship placements at BANG Radio. Placements will consist of 16 hours of activities per week (for a period of either 3 or 6 months), including lots of hands on, practical experience.

On successful completion of this programme, you will receive a qualification as well as real broadcast experience with BANG Radio.

In order to participate in this programme, you need to be reliable, punctual, enthusiastic and passionate about radio and serious about pursuing a career in broadcasting.

To be eligible for this programme, you must meet the following criteria:

  • People must be 19 years old or above
  • People must have the right to remain and work in the UK
  • Be either: 1. a contracted employee (full and part-time), 2. self-employed,  3. a volunteer or 4. an employment agency worker (i.e. a temp)
  • Live in Greater London 9i.e. within the M25)
  • Must be at Entry Levels 3 minimum.

Tutor Training Scheme

We are proud to announce that we are offering people the chance to become qualified tutors through our new Tutor Training Scheme. You will develop the knowledge, skills & experience to deliver accredited training and gain a Level 3 NVQ in Direct Training and Support.

The scheme has been developed specifically for practitioners delivering government funded learning. It is suitable for those who are involved with delivering training & development activities in training establishments or in the workplace.

In order to participate in this programme, you should have:

  • A commitment to community education, and a commitment to and understanding of the principles and the implementation of equal opportunities.
  • The ability to work in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Knowledge in the subject area to be taught.
  • The ability to manage and motivate participants
  • The ability to work co-operatively with members of a team
  • The ability to form good working relationships with people from a wide range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Facilitation skills and the ability to work independently.
  • The ability to demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to work, and work to deadlines.
  • The ability to be tactful and sensitive though assertive when appropriate
